Digital Humanism: A Human-Centric Approach to Digital Technologies

Palgrave
This volume offers an heterogeneous perspective on digital ethics and provides a comprehensive and interdisciplinary overview for scholars, academics, and practitioners dealing with new digital technologies.

Digital Humanism provides an accessible and up-to-date overview of the foundational issues about both emerging constructive understandings of the digital era and still- hidden and ignored aspects that could prove to be extremely relevant in the future, in the process of a technological humanism.

The book offers relevant scientific and ethical questions. It brings together professionals and researchers from diverse professional and disciplinary fields with a shared interest in understanding operative aspects of technological, digital and cultural transitions and their capacity to develop human societies. The challenges are clear, but heretofore lacked an epistemological, anthropological, economic and social agenda capable of driving such transitions towards a technological humanism.

The volume, edited by Marta Bertolaso, Luca Capone and Carlos Rodriguez-Lluesma, stems from a series of STI-sponsored online discussion sessions held in April and May 2021. It provides an ideal platform for professionals and scholars, providing analytical tools as well as highlighting commmon goals.
