The Thriving Society area explores the social, cultural, and relational foundations that enable individuals and communities to flourish, with a particular focus on family, education, social cohesion, and civil society as key drivers of human development. Through research and dialogue, it seeks to strengthen social bonds, foster shared values, and better understand the conditions that promote inclusive, resilient, and sustainable societies, paying special attention to social well-being and intergenerational relationships.
The study, funded by the Social Trends Institute, analyzes 40 million transaction records from the Bank of England between 1694 and 1827, reconstructing investment portfolios to reveal patterns of wealth distribution. It aims to provide insights for promoting inclusive economic growth and shaping policy development.
This article synthesizes the key insights from the international conference “From Polarization to Understanding: Bridging Divides in Business and Society,” jointly organized by IESE Business School and the Social Trends Institute. Through interdisciplinary dialogue among leading scholars, the event examined the psychological, institutional, and organizational drivers of polarization and explored frameworks for rebuilding trust and social cohesion.
This project explores the role of inclusion in modern marketing strategies and examines its broader impact on both consumers and business performance. By combining innovative methods and a multidisciplinary perspective, the study offers a forward-looking view of how marketing can drive positive change and create sustainable value.
