James O’Toole is the Daniels Distinguished Professor of Business Ethics at the University of Denver’s Daniels College of Business. He previously was research professor in the Center for Effective Organizations at the University of Southern California. He received his doctorate in social anthropology from Oxford University, where he was a Rhodes Scholar. Professor O’Toole won a Mitchell price for a paper on economic growth policy and has served on the prestigious Board of Editors of the Encyclopaedia Britannica. From 1994-97, he was executive vice president of the Aspen Institute, where he is also the Mortimer J. Adler Senior Fellow.
