Heather Salfrank Joseph currently serves in the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Office of the Director as Project Manager for the Interagency Naturalization Working Group. She has also held the positions of Senior Immigration Services Officer and Asylum Officer with USCIS.
Prior to joining the civil service in 2018, Salfrank Joseph oversaw national refugee resettlement and immigrant integration programs with Episcopal Migration Ministries (EMM). She also served as the post-arrival subcommittee chair for Refugee Council USA from 2015-2017. She has previously worked for the US Committee for Refugees and Immigrants (USCRI), the American Bar Association Rule of Law Initiative (ABA/ROLI), and the UN’s International Organization for Migration (IOM), managing immigrant and human rights-focused programs both nationally and internationally. She holds an MA in International Studies from the University of Washington.
