Florence Jacqueline Achieng’ Oloo
Florence Jacqueline Achieng’ Oloo is deputy vice chancellor of Strathmore University in Nairobi, Kenya. Professor Oloo leads the university’s development, administration, and implementation of academic policies, as well as the supervision of academic staff and programs. She holds a Ph.D. in chemistry from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology.
In addition to her focus on electrochemistry, Professor Oloo’s academic interests include professional ethics and rural and women’s issues. Professor Oloo served as director of Strathmore University’s Centre for Professional Ethics and helped found the Business Ethics Network (Ben-Africa) in 2000. In addition to her academic work, she contributes to Double Effect in World Business: Del Monte Case Study in Kenya and counsels Kenyan women seeking higher degrees in science.
