Luigino Bruni is Professor of Economics at the Lumsa University, Rome. He is Consultor to the Dicastery for Laity, Family and Life, President of SEC - School of Civil Economy and columnist for the newspaper Avvenire. He also serves as Editor-in-Chief of IREC (International Review of Economics), and as Director of the PhD in Civil Economy Sciences at Lumsa in Rome.
He is particularly interested in topics related to ethics and philosophy in economics. He also works on the history of economic thought, economic theory and social choice, and the economy of communion, social economy and non-profit.
In addition to publishing hundreds of journal articles, Bruni is author, co-author or editor of numerous books published in Italian and in English, the most recent of which is The Economics of Values, Ideals and Organizations.
