Jill E. Fisch

Jill E. Fisch is the Saul A. Fox Distinguished Professor of Business Law and co-director of the Institute for Law and Economics. Her work focuses on the intersection of business and law, including the role of regulation and litigation in addressing limitations in the disciplinary power of the capital markets. She has written more than 70 scholarly articles that have appeared in top law reviews, including the Harvard Law Review, the Yale Law Journal, and the University of Pennsylvania Law Review. Current projects include experimental research into retail investor decision-making, analysis of the structural and practical challenges posed by the financial regulatory process, and ongoing work on the theory and goals of private securities fraud litigation. Professor Fisch has also explored the role of institutional investors in corporate governance, particularly shareholder voting.
