Chiara Beneduce is postdoctoral researcher at the Center for the History of Philosophy and Science of Radboud University, Nijmegen (The Netherlands) and teaching assistant in Philosophy of Science at Campus Bio-Medico University of Rome (Italy). Previously, she worked as postdoctoral researcher in Italy, the Netherlands, and the USA. Her research is placed at the intersection of the History of Philosophy, the History of Science, and the Philosophy of Medicine. The main expertise she developed is on the relationship between philosophy and medicine in the late Middle Ages and the Renaissance. Her current main project focuses on the how the sense of touch was conceptualized from the late thirteenth to the early seventeenth century (NWO Veni project 2019-2023: “The Sense of Touch. From Anomaly to Paradigm”).
