Candidates will be committed to writing their master’s thesis on studies of fashion, the cultural impact of globalization, family policies, or care professions.
Social Trends Institute is offering four grants for the University of Navarra’s Master’s in Social Science Research (MICS in its Spanish acronym). The amount will cover the total cost of enrollment.
To apply for the grant, candidates must commit to doing their master’s thesis in one of the following four subject matters: fashion studies, the cultural impact of globalization, family policies or care professions. These are among the topics the Social Trends Institute has treated over recent years in experts meetings and subsequent publications.
Candidates should send STI their résumé, a letter explaining their interest in one of the aforementioned topics, and a letter of recommendation. They should send this material by e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org before May 15, 2016. Decisions will be communicated on May 30, 2016.
Six possible specializations
Accredited by ANECA (Spanish Acronym for the National Agency for Quality Evaluation and Accreditation), the MICS is coordinated by the Institute for Culture and Society (ICS) with the direct collaboration of the departments of Communication, Law, Education and Psychology, Nursing, Philosophy and Humanities.
The study plan consists of 60 ETCS credits, distributed over four modules: the basic theory module (12 ECTS), the instrumental-methodological module (18 ECTS), the specialization module (12 ECTS) and the end of master’s work module (18 ECTS).
Master’s students will develop the methodological tools and analytic capacity to carry out quantitative and qualitative studies of social and cultural situations, as well as to lead interdisciplinary studies in a wide range of businesses and public and private organizations.
