Susanna Wing is an assistant professor of political science at Haverford College. Professor Wing holds a Ph.D. in political science from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and a master’s degree in African area studies from UCLA.
Her research interests focus on democracy, women’s rights and legal reform in Africa. Professor Wing has done consulting work for the World Bank and USAID, and currently serves as a visiting researcher at the Centre d’Etude des Mondes Africains (CEMAF) in Paris. Her book, Constructing Democracy in Transitioning Societies of Africa: Constitutionalism and Deliberation in Mali, was published by Macmillan in 2008.
