Ayelet is a Post Doctoral Research Fellow at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva, and heads (with Joost Pauwleyn, Tim Buthe and Martino Maggetti) the "Rethinking Stakeholder Engagement in International Governance" project. She is also a Visiting Researcher at the National University of Singapore Law School.
Her teaching and research is in the field of law and global governance. Previously Ayelet practiced law, including international trade law, at Sidley Austin LLP. She has a PhD in International Law (summa cum laude with congratulations of the committee) from the Graduate Institute, for which she was awarded the Swiss Network of International Studies Award for Best PhD in International Studies (2015). She also holds a L.L.B magna cum laude from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Her paper "Taking Foreign Interests into Account: Rulemaking in the U.S. and EU" is forthcoming in the International Journal of Constitutional Law.
