Cardinal Francis George was the eighth Archbishop of Chicago and served as President of the US Conference of Catholic Bishops from 2007-2010. He received a doctorate in Philosophy from Tulane University in 1970 and a doctorate in Sacred Theology in ecclesiology from the Pontifical Urban University in 1988. His most recent publication is God and Action: How Faith in God Can Address the Challenges of the World, which was published in 2011 by Doubleday.
